After a parade through the old town, mayor Nanning Mol and deputy dike warden Cicilia Rijsdijk declared Dordrecht symbolically ready for the storm season on Saturday 26 September. For the rest of the day the city centre was full of street theatre, music, art and encounters.
De Dordtse Waterhelden, die tijdens het laatste weekend van Festival Voor de Vloed op 26 en 27 september zou plaatsvinden, gaat dit jaar helaas niet door. Er zijn onvoldoende teams aangemeld om van de Voorstraathaven de waterarena te maken die de organisatie voor ogen had.
From 19 to 30 September, you can once again get ready for storm season. The fourth edition promises festivities at Het Hof and in the Kloostertuin, a Safety Square, (street) theatre, the Hoog & Droog Attic Trail and, of course, the Redders van Dordt Flood Camp.
