Workshop: No Need to Panic #1
Are you prepared for a flood? No? Join the No Need to Panic! workshop
The Red Cross is organising an interactive session to help you be well prepared for emergencies. This time, there will be a special focus on a scenario that is particularly relevant in our water-rich region: a flood.
What do you do if the electricity, water or gas suddenly cuts out? What do you need to be able to look after yourself and others for 72 hours? And how well prepared are you, really, if professional help isn’t immediately available?
During the Geen Nood workshop, you’ll work together with others in a practical and accessible way. In small groups, you’ll discover what’s involved in an emergency and which preparations can make all the difference.
You’ll receive tips on, amongst other things:
- what you need in a good emergency kit
- how to draw up a personal emergency plan
- what you can do during a flood
- how to better prepare yourself, your family and your local community
- how to get through the first 72 hours
Don’t panic – be prepared. Because during an emergency, you’ll initially have to rely on yourself and those immediately around you. Come along, join in and make sure you’re prepared.
The session lasts 1.5 hours and there is space for up to 12 people. Advance registration is required by booking a free ticket
Meet at the Red Cross on Veiligheidsplein
Please note: there are two sessions; this is the session from 12.00 to 13.30. You can register here for the 14.00 session.
