The Island Council
The water is coming. But nobody seems to be worried...
There’s someone who says things are going wrong.
That the water is coming.
That the dykes might not hold.
But nobody believes her.
Not yet.
During the Island Council, you’ll step into a story alongside other residents of Krispijn. An actress will take you back to a moment when the water starts to rise and something needs to be done quickly.
Who should we warn?
Where can you go to be safe?
Who needs help?
Who can help?
And perhaps even more importantly: what do you do if nobody listens to you?
Together, we’ll search for answers. Not by following a set script, but by talking, acting out scenarios and sharing our own experiences and ideas. A scriptwriter will be there, listening in. Your stories, ideas and reactions could soon become part of the performance *De Eilandraad*. Because this performance isn’t just about the neighbourhood. It’s being created with the neighbourhood.
Come to De Eilandraad. Have your say. Join in. And help us find out: will we be ready in time when the water comes?
